A trip to Glyndebourne Opera is a real treat but for those not living nearby can involve hours of preparation, then a long drive to Glyndebourne and the same home afterwards when tired.

3 day relaxing Opera visit with a picnic
Day 1 Arrive at the cottage, unpack your glad rags (no need to drive miles in evening dress) enjoy our welcoming cream tea, rest and relax.
Day 2 When you are ready to drive the 20-25 minute cross country journey to Glyndebourne we will deliver to your car your pre-chosen Opera hamper. If you wish we can provide a picnic table and chairs. Everything you will need will be packed, plates, glasses, cutlery, napkins, tablecloth and a gourmet picnic chosen by you. ( There are suggestions below). We are very happy to discuss guests' picnic ideas.
On your return simply leave everything in our porch. No unpacking. No washing up and you can even share a peaceful reflection on the bench on the cottage stoop.
Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast explore the beautiful High Weald, perhaps scour antique shops or enjoy some relaxed shopping in the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells before returning for your last night in the blissful comfort of the vast bed and the tranquil surroundings of The Cottage in the Garden.
Festival 2024 Price £880 for this stay and picnic for two inclusive . We are happy to accommodate your dietary requirements.
Your stay can be extended beyond 3 nights at our normal nightly price
If you are meeting up with friends for the opera we can extend the picnic to accommodate another couple at an additional cost.
N.B. Our Glyndebourne packages do not include Opera Tickets ! These you must book for yourselves.
